Steuben County had unemployment rate of 6.6% in 2021

Steuben County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,168 people out of the 34,379 living in Steuben County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Steuben County has increased compared to the 5.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Steuben County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.7%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
