Trine Skating Announces 2023 Recruitment and Audition Weekend

The Trine University figure and synchronized skating teams have announced the date of their annual Spring Recruitment and Audition Weekend. The event will take place on beginning on Friday, March 17 and run through Sunday, March 19 at the University's on campus rink, Thunder Ice Arena.

This event requires students to be in at least ninth grade but is open to any skill level or competitive background. Participants can expect to learn on-ice technique from former Team USA athletes, explore and eat lunch on campus as well as have questions answered by current Trine University skaters. Preliminary event structure is outlined below.

Spring Recruitment Track

•    Friday - March 17th - 6:00-8:00pm - Check-In and 'Skate with the Team' workshop

•    Saturday - March 18th - 8:30am - 6:30pm - On-ice skills workshops, lunch, campus activities and Q&A session.

2023 Season Audition Track

•    Friday - March 17th - 6:00-8:00pm - Optional practice ice and 'Skate with the Team' workshop

•    Saturday - March 18th - 8:30am - 6:30pm - On and Off-Ice Evaluation, Lunch and Team Bonding

•    Sunday - March 19th - 8:00-10:00am - Final On-Ice Evaluation and Breakfast Q&A

The event will cost $60 per athlete and includes all on and off-ice instruction, lunch on Saturday, event t-shirt and other on campus activities for both the Recruitment and Audition track participants.
