Collecting Native Seeds In-Person on Oct 15

Collecting Native Seeds In-Person

One way to acquire native plants is to start them from seed. Growing natives from seed is a great way to expand your perennial beds without breaking the bank. It's also a wonderful way to learn more about the plants native to our area. Janet Canino, an Advanced Indiana Master Naturalist, will share the advantages of why native plants matter, as well as guide participants on collecting native seeds using the natives growing around EPL's campus. Come next spring and summer, you'll be able to see the rewards of attending this event!

Ages 6 and up are welcome to join in on the fun.

Please bring clean, empty containers or envelopes to collect your seeds. Feel free to bring gloves and (small) pruners.

EPL is proud to partner with the Auburn Conservation Team for this event.
