Utica Community Schools is pleased to continue the Meet Up and Eat Up food program this summer.
Providing children with access to nutritious food beyond the school year and into the summer months has clear health and educational benefits. All children and teens ages 18 years old and under can receive free, USDA-funded, healthy meals at selected locations now through August 4. All meals must be eaten onsite.
Persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a State or local public educational agency may also take part in this USDA-funded program.
“The health and well-being of our students are consistently top of mind for Utica Community Schools,” Superintendent Robert S. Monroe said. “With a dedication to meeting the needs of all of our students, this program helps ensure that students receive the nutritious meals they need throughout the year.”
During the program, UCS will serve meals each week at designated locations and times. No meals will be served on July 4, 2022. These free meals are for children only who are present and may not be taken offsite. The schedule of serving sites and summer meal menus for UCS Meet Up and Eat Up venues are posted online at uticak12.nutrislice.com/menu/.
2022 UCS Meet Up and Eat Up Summer Site Schedule

The Following sites will serve outside at the designated areas June 13-July 28 Mondays-Thursdays and must be eaten onsite:
•Autumn Woods under tree near office, 44401 Bridal Lane, Sterling Heights: 1:15-1:35pm
•Sterling Estates outside their clubhouse in the picnic area, 43475 La Grand Blvd, Sterling Heights: 12:40-1:00pm
•Rudgate Manor at the Gazebo bus stop 3, 5150 Rudgate Circle, Sterling Heights: 12:00-12:20pm
Breakfasts and lunches will be available Monday-Friday at the following summer sites. Meals must be consumed inside the cafeteria/gym. Meals will run from June 20-July 29. Public mealtimes are as follows:
•Alternative Learning Center, 7600 18 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights: Breakfast 9:00-9:15am and lunch 12:15-12:30pm
•Eppler Junior High – Door 1, 45461 Brownell, Utica: Breakfast 9:00-9:15am and lunch 12:15-12:30pm
•Jeannette Junior High – Door 8, 40400 Gulliver, Sterling Heights: Breakfast 9:00-915am and lunch 12:15-12:30pm
•Burr Elementary, 41460 Ryan rd., Sterling Heights: Breakfast 8:30-8:45am and lunch 12:00-12:15pm
•Harvey Elementary, 41700 Montroy, Sterling Heights: Breakfast 8:30-8:45am and lunch 12:00-12:15pm
•Roberts Elementary, 2400 Belview, Shelby Twp: Breakfast 8:30-8:45am and lunch 12:00-12:15pm
•Plumbrook Elementary, 39660 Spalding, Sterling Heights: Breakfast 8:30-8:45am and lunch 12:00-12:15pm

We will also serve meals for Sterling Heights Parks & Rec programs starting June 27 and go to August 4. We will serve Mondays thru Thursdays, except for DeKeyser who will be served on Fridays. No meals will be served July 4, 28, 29 & August 2. No lunches will be served July 7, 14 & 26.
